Review: Duri Cosmetics - Insidious: Chapter 2 Collection

Today I am so thrilled to share with you Duri Cosmetic's latest collection that is in collaboration with the release of Insidious: Chapter 2, which is a sequel to the cult horror film Insidious that came out back in 2010.  Insidious: Chapter 2 will be premiering on Friday the 13th of September.  But you can already find this collection on Duri Cosmetic's website!

**The Duri Cosmetics' Insidious: Chapter 2 Collection was received for review purposes.

Duri Cosmetics is known as a professional line that aims towards high performance for consumers at salons and specialty stores nationwide.  Their nail polish is meant to be long-lasting and chip-resistant with a smooth finish.  Their nail products are 3-Free: DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde.  Each bottle holds 0.5 floz./15ml.

The Insidious: Chapter 2 Collection includes six shades which are named and designed after a significant color within the film.  When I received this collection I was excited that they had teamed up with a film.

Into the Further: is described as a pure black. This is a two coater but you could get opacity with just one coat.  It seemed a little bit lighter than a blackest black shade.  More of an off black but it has a nice formula creme mixture.

Red Door:  is described as a deep, oxblood red.  This is two coats.  I was so amazed that this did not stain my nails at all!

Lady in White:  is described as an iridescent ghost-like white.  This had a very smooth thin formula.  It was quite sheer so it took about three coats to gain opacity.  So it would make for a nice topper if you wanted to mesh some glitters between.  I actually love this white!

Nightfall:  is described as a shimmering midnight blue.  This is in two coats.  When applying this you might want to be careful, cause it did stain my nails a little bit.

Steel Shadows:  is described as a dark, metallic gray.  Okay I know I have two other shades that look almost like this but I think I like this one way more!  I loved how the metallic gray shimmer peeks through the black.  So it doesn't look like any regular black or dark gray sort of nail polish.

Shocking Twist:  is described as a shocking lime green.  Did I save the best for last?  Maybe.  But I just love how this shade pops out!

So I decided to do a quick splatter mani.  I used Lady in White for the base color and Nightfall for the splatter part.  Sorry it is still a bit messy.  I was in a hurry to go out.

What I love about Duri Cosmetics is that they have such a lovely smooth formula and the dry time was not super quick, but it was fast.  Hope that makes sense.

Each of the Insidious: Chapter 2 Collection bottle cost $6.  Here are some ways to keep in touch with Duri Cosmetics:
