Review: Tribal Colours Glitter - #13

Today I would like to share with you a Tribal Colours Glitter nail polish in Shade 13.  I received this from BornPrettyStore for review purposes.  I was instantly drawn into Tribal Colour's bottle shape, since it looked different from the usual slender/fatty type of bottles that sit in my nail polish stash.  How the glittered nail polish sat in the bottle just made it more tempting.

I know some of you are thinking "OMG that is going to be a pain to remove," and honestly PVA base is your friend.  That and the foil trick.  Seriously without the DIY PVA base or the foil trick I wouldn't touch glitter haha.  There are several types of this infamous "PVA base" type of product.  You could either buy one from Essence for example, or simply make your own.

  • Foil Method:  The PolishAholic's How To
  • My PVA base is basically Elmer's School Glue poured into an empty nail polish bottle and I added a few droplets into the bottle.  Apply it to your nails and allow it to dry.  I usually do 2-3 coats of this.  As always continue with the process base coat etc.

Shade 13 is a total glitter bomb of coarse silver glitter with a sparse azure blue fine glitter.  With one coat it is already slamming your nail with a lot.  But if you wanted to wear it by itself, two coats will do you good!
The above picture is two coats only.  The way I see it is more of a foil nail polish with blue glitter in it.  Though I know it is all glitter.  It glided on smoothly and easily.  I didn't have to keep fishing for glitters with this product.

For this I used three coats instead of two, though the two coats were enough.  I topped it off with Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.  The two studs you see are from BornPrettyStore as well.

It actually reminds me of a China Glaze polish, but I can't remember what the name was.

EDIT:  It is China Glaze's Lorelei's Tiara I was thinking of.  What do you think?  Do they look alike?  Thank you to my friend Emily for helping me figure what polish it was.

Doesn't the polish look pretty?  It looks nice by itself or with some art work over it.  You could wear it as an accent nail or do like I did with a full nail look of it.

The Tribal Colours Glitter Sparkle collection has 11 other shades, and they are only $4.61 a piece!  So while you are splurging away on your nail art decorations and such, pick up this goodie to try out.  Don't forget you could use my code "LARJ61" to get a 10% off your purchase.  Plus FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE how awesome is that?
Also just a reminder I am having a BornPrettyStore giveaway as well, this weekend is the last chance to enter before I pick a winner.  So head on over that way for a chance to win.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you have a wonderful weekend <3
